MANAMA — Security interests of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are identical and they have shared objectives in facing various challenges, including combating terrorism in all its forms, said Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is also the country's prime minister, on Tuesday. He highlighted the depth of historic ties between the two countries and underlined the importance of furthering relations in support of shared visions and common interests, the Bahrain News Agency reported. Bahrain's Crown Prince made the remarks during his meeting with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan at Riffa Palace. Prince Salman highlighted the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council's pivotal role in forming joint Sub-Committees to progress the council's initiatives, including strengthening economic and industrial cooperation, as well as trade movements across land and sea. He underscored the importance of the King Fahd Causeway, as vital to maintaining connectivity between the two countries, and the role of the upcoming King Hamad Causeway in furthering economic, trade, and industrial relations. Regional and international issues of common interest were discussed, during which the Bahraini crown prince commended Saudi Arabia's role in supporting Arab and Islamic nations, as well as its role in safeguarding regional stability and the global economy. For his part, Prince Faisal extended his gratitude for the opportunity to meet Prince Salman and lauded the crown prince for his continued support in bolstering Saudi-Bahraini ties, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
