Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Saudi-Chinese relations have been characterized by strength and mutual respect, as they are promoted via reciprocal visits of the leadership of the two countries and joint cooperation at all levels in a way that enhances the interests of the two friendly countries. In recent years, relations between Riyadh and Beijing have been witnessing an increasing growth based on economic and trade cooperation agreements, as China is one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's largest trade partners, the newspaper added. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, meeting, yesterday, with the State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi comes to strengthen relations and areas of bilateral cooperation and promising opportunities for their development in various sectors. Moreover, yesterday's talks of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi confirm the two countries' keenness to support partnership regarding the latest developments related to regional and international events and the efforts being exerted in their regard to enhance security and stability. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the countries and regional and international organizations' condemnation of the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted the Riyadh oil refinery, as well as their support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its capabilities and gains, along with the Cabinet's confirmation that such terrorist and subversive acts which have repeatedly been committed against vital facilities and civil objects are targeting not only the Kingdom, but target the security and stability of world energy supplies and economy, as such acts represent a violation of international laws and norms, all affirm that the world countries have to stand against these threats and confront all parties implementing or supporting the terrorist acts. The newspaper added that Saudi Arabia's initiative to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political resolution comes in continuation of the Kingdom's concern for the security and stability of Yemen and the region, and its serious and practical steps to support peace in Yemen and put an end to the crisis based on the three references. The Kingdom also affirmed its total rejection of Iranian interference in the region and Yemen, as the Iranian regime's support for the Houthi militias through developing, supplying missiles and weapons and violation of relevant Security Council resolutions, remains the main reason for the prolonging of the Yemeni crisis. The international community must recognize all these reasons and the risks and take a unified stance and adopt deterrent measures to stop these threats, the newspaper concluded.
