Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues on local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper wrote in its editorial that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia fought all forms of terrorism relentlessly within its territory and within the territories of the GCC countries. Al-Youm added that Saudi Arabia has affirmed in all forums its continuity in the fight against terrorism and its supporters, and has always pledged to support all international and regional efforts to eliminate terrorist organizations. Al-Youm concluded that Saudi Arabia was one of the founding countries of the International Counter Terrorism Coalition, and has participated actively in all other military operations against the Da'esh (ISIS) organization and other terrorist organizations. The Kingdom is committed to its steadfast position to combat terrorism and to support the coalition objectives and international cooperation to fight terrorist organizations, achieving the desired cooperation among all the countries of the coalition to combat this dangerous phenomenon. Okaz newspaper commented on the Iranian-backed Houthi militias continuing violations of all international resolutions related to the Yemeni crisis, including Security Council resolution 2216. Houthi continues to evade all international commitments to establish a "special political mission" of the United Nations to support the implementation of the Hodeidah agreement, based on Sweden's consultations, in mid-December, in accordance with resolution 2453, without any real and serious action by the UN Security Council to end this chaos in Yemen.
