Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that the international community realizes that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays key and vital role in maintaining the security and stability in the Middle East region. Countering any threats or terrorist attacks against the countries in the region and the world as well is a firm approach in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strategies since its inception until this prosperous era, being led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the papers said. The papers affirmed that Saudi Arabia's relations with the other countries are based on common interests, mutual respect and convergence of views in addition to non-interference in the countries' internal affairs. In this regard, the historical Saudi-US relations are deep-rooted and based on cooperation and joint coordination on issues of regional security and peace, the papers added. Therefore, this partnership represents a model for balanced relations based on interests, mutual respect and convergence of views on common international issues, especially at this stage, in which the region is facing great challenges due to Iran's hostile policy towards the countries of the region, as well as its hostile behavior through its proxies and terrorist Houthi militias, which repeatedly target civilian objects and civilians in Saudi Arabia, as the UN Security Council condemned these attacks, affirming their seriousness on security, stability and peace of the region, the papers further added. The papers pointed out that the telephone call made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to US President Joe Biden comes as confirmation of the strong relations between the two countries and the importance of strengthening the partnership between them in a way that serves their interests and achieves security and stability in the region and the world as the two leaders discussed the most important issues in the region and developments of common interest, as well as the Iranian behavior in the region, its destabilizing activities and its support for terrorist groups. The papers concluded that the strengthening of the partnership between Riyadh and Washington, in addition to enhancing their strong institutional relations reflect the two countries' constant keenness to achieve more mutual interests, which would effectively contribute to preserving regional stability and the global economy.
