The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the Eighth International Book Show, currently in progress here. Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Dr Abdulaziz Khoja, in a statement to SPA, said the Book Show is an important cultural event because the book will remain the major source for acquisition of knowledge. 'The Kingdom, which constitutes an indivisible part of the world, has been carrying a great message to the world', he said. Meanwhile, Dr Ayman Maghrabi, the Saudi cultural attaché in Beirut, in a similar statement, said that the area of the Saudi pavilion at the Book Show amounts to 140 square meter. He noted that the pavilion displays about 1500 titles produced by a number of ministries and universities including the Ministries of Higher Education and Information, Madinah-based Islamic University, Dhahran-based King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, Makkah-based Ummal Qura University, Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz University and Riyadh-based King Saud University. On the fringes of the Book Show series of lectures and seminars will be organized with the participation of a number of Arab intellectuals.
