Lebanon's Prime Minister Omer Karami opened here today the 48th Beirut International Book Exhibition in which a number of Arab publishers, including Saudi Arabian publishers, printing presses and bookshops are taking part. The opening ceremony was attended by several Lebanese ministers and parliamentarians; foreign ambassadors including the Saudi Ambassador of the Kingdom to Lebanon Dr. Abdulaziz Mohieddin Khoja; intellectuals and journalists. Following the opening, Karami toured the Saudi pavilion, expressing admiration of the contents of the pavilion. There, he was received by Dr. Khoja. More than 200 Lebanese and Arab publishers and three international establishments, including Frankfurt exhibition, are taking part in the event which will proceed until the 12th of next month.
