Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf condemned the attacks that targeted one of the petroleum tank farms at the Ras Tanura Port in the Eastern Region and Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran. Dr. Al-Hajraf stressed that the two attacks do not target Saudi Arabia's security and economic capabilities only, but rather target the backbone of the global economy, oil supplies, as well as global energy security. He reiterated the GCC's stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming the GCC's support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its national capabilities and gains in a way that maintains global energy security and prevent such terrorist attacks to ensure the stability of energy supplies, security of petroleum exports, freedom of world trade and maritime traffic.
