Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Houthi Militias' violations and attacks, being carried with the encouragement and support of the Iranian regime, were and still a threat to the international security and navigation, as well as a source of danger to civilians, in addition to the Militias' missiles that target the Kingdom and are being bravely intercepting Saudi air defense forces. These actions and Iranian regime's methods confirms its arrogant policy that refuses to engage in any civilized, humanitarian and peaceful project that guarantees the stability of the region, the newspaper added. The Iranian regime's nuclear weapon and its recent announcement about developing missiles and drones confirm a message that it will not back down from its nuclear programs, despite the sanctions imposed on it because of this program. The American warning, despite its severity, clarity and non-negotiable language, is not sufficient unless it is supported by a real act that deters and ensures that the Iranian regime abandons its nuclear ambition, as the Iranian ambition imposes threat to the entire region, as well as to global peace and security, the newspaper concluded. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the efforts and sacrifices of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, being led by the wise leadership, to combat the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as providing vaccines to all citizens and residents for free, are efforts that constitute an integrated pillars that are resulting in reaching reassuring stages in terms of numbers of infections and recoveries. The newspaper pointed to the joint press briefing where Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali said that there is a slight increase in the new reported cases, and this matter shall increase our commitment and adherence to the precautionary measures. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior Lt. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub said that this increase is due to decreasing implementation of the precautionary and preventive measures. These aforementioned details make us aware of the extent of the responsibility expected by citizens and residents alike, and their keenness to adhere to the precautionary measures and preventive measures approved by the state, the newspaper concluded.
