Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia to Host 41st GCC Summit on January 5
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 27 - 12 - 2020

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 included all frameworks concerned with the development process at both the individual and state levels. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Saudi Arabia made strenuous efforts to protect everyone from the pandemic, as these efforts began before the emergence of the virus in Saudi Arabia, and it is still continuing to get world out of this health crisis with the fewest losses, the papers said.
The newspapers added that as a part of the effort, Saudi Arabia agreed on the importance of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and announced free price vaccine for all citizens and residents.
The papers pointed to the HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's appearance in the media during getting vaccinated, considering this as an encouraging initiative to other people. The papers said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirmed the vaccine's safety.
What we witness today in terms of the gains made since the beginning of the pandemic is an extension of one of the most important policies within Vision 2030, which is represented by the intensification of precautionary measures and emphasizing that health comes first, which made the Kingdom one of the best countries in worldwide in confronting the pandemic.
These aforementioned data are another proof of the comprehensiveness and complementarity of Kingdom's vision strategies. It also places Saudi Arabia in its natural position among the developed countries of the world, as an ideal environment for the safety, advancement and desired quality of human life, the papers concluded.
Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host 41st GCC Summit, which will be held in Riyadh on January 5, 2021, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of interdependence and integration with the member states and pushing the relations to broader horizons to meet the aspirations and hopes of the peoples of the region.
The newspaper added that Saudi Arabia's hosting of the summit embodies the wise leadership keenness to unite the Gulf ranks and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and a common destiny.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its Arab, Islamic and international position has been keen for more than four decades on advancing the march of the Gulf to enhance its role and influence at all levels.
