Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is reliable source for the energy industry in the world due to its qualitative initiatives and future visions. The paper added that before the discovery of oil as commercial quantities many years ago, Saudi Arabia pledged to the countries of the world that it would provide energy in the required quantities and satisfactory prices for producers and consumers. The paper further that Saudi Arabia has played vital role in providing energy from fossil fuel to the world over the past decades. The paper concluded that through its Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia seeks to maintain providing energy from its renewable sources, relying on the great expertise of Saudi Aramco and its great history in this field. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that as part of its responsibility and presidency of G20, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to agricultural development and food security in its national policies and strategies, along with cooperation with regional and international organizations and institutions, in accordance with Vision 2030. The paper added that the environment, water and agriculture system is being greatly supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and HRH Crown Prince, which enabled Saudi Arabia to make unprecedented progress in several global indicators, including the Food Security Index. The paper concluded that Saudi Arabia has also succeeded in confronting the Novel Coronavirus pandemic and its impact on food supply chains, as the food security strategy has demonstrated its effectiveness without any disruption in supply chains or a shortage of stocks.
