Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that since the announcement of the Kingdom's vision 2030 in 2016, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved advanced positions in all fields, recognized by international organizations and bodies. The paper said that Saudi Arabia has made great progress in dealing with COVID-19 pandemic, through a whole slew of early preparations and precautionary measures to ensure health security for citizens and residents. The paper further added that Saudi Arabia has ranked 6th among the world safest travel destinations, in light of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, according to an article published by the Wego Travel Blog website. The paper concluded that this unprecedented progress has reflected Saudi Arabia's exceptional human, medical and technical capabilities in the health field in addition to the development of the infrastructures. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made distinguished achievements in the field of human rights. The paper added that these achievements was supported by a whole slew of regulatory and legislative reforms to achieve justice and equality among all members of society and to spread the culture of human rights. The paper further added that Saudi Arabia has witnessed historical transformations and qualitative leaps in the field of human rights, as more than 70 reform decisions were issued under the directives of the wise leadership. The paper concluded that many governmental and non-governmental institutions have been established which concerned with the protection and promotion of human rights.
