Dr. Fuad bin Abdulsalam Alfarsi, Minister of Culture and Information, signed at his office here today a contract worth SR 28, 877, 854 for upgrading the broadcasting system of Radio Riyadh with a national company. Under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, the contract, which will be implemented in 28 months, came to enhance the goals of developing and upgrading the media services in the kingdom. The project includes replacing all audio equipment and devices currently used in Radio Riyadh studios with a state-of-the-art digital system to match with global developments in the field of media services.
