The outgoing Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed sincere congratulations to his successor Ambassador Hussein Ibrahim Taha, a national of Chad. Taha has been recently elected to replace Al-Othaimeen, as the new secretary general of the OIC. The term of the office is 5 years, set to begin on November 17, 2021. He has since took the oath of office, during the meetings of the 47th session of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Council. The session workings concluded on November 28, in Niamey, the capital of the Republic of Niger.
