Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, before the Shura Council in the 1st year of its 8th session, has outlined plans and roadmap for a better future at the local level. The paper added that in the light of the achievements have been made within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030, its prudent leadership is planning to further empower the citizen, motivate the private sector for more participation, increase the effectiveness of implementation, eradicate corruption, overcome the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to continuing its leading roles and firm stances towards the regional and international issues and developments. The paper added that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that Saudi Arabia's presidency of G20 enables it to lead global efforts to reform the global economic system and it will also continue its work for ensuring the stability of oil supplies, providing aid to developing and needy countries, supporting the fair international issues, condemning all forms of violence, rejecting extremism and terrorism and achieving stability for the region and the world. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for his speech before the Shura Council during inauguration of the works of the 1st year of its 8th session. The paper added that HRH Crown Prince affirmed that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved unprecedented accomplishments in a short and rapid period over its contemporary history. The paper further added that HRH Crown Prince reviewed in his speech many issues, including Saudi Arabia's efforts in combating the terrorism and extremism, reiterating that the intellectual freedom is a means of respect and tolerance and Islam criminalizes terrorist operations and prohibits bloodshed. HRH Crown Prince also reviewed fighting corruption, addressing the issue of unemployment, paying attention to human rights, indicating that the women are in an unprecedented stage of empowerment, the paper concluded .
