Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad, Al-Yaum and Al-Eqtisadiah newspapers reported in their editorials that the great speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud before the Shura Council, during inauguration of the works of the 1st year of its 8th session, included important contents and highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's policy and efforts at local and international levels for a safe and stable world. The papers added that in the speech, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that the 2030 vision's achievements will continue in the coming period for achieving the comprehensive developing, empowering the citizen, enhancing the participation of the private sector, eradicating corruption, providing appropriate housing, developing many sectors, attracting investments, providing all means of comfort for pilgrims and combating extremism and terrorism. At the international level, the papers further added that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called on the international community to firmly confront the Iranian regional project which supports terrorism and extremism and fuels sectarianism, in addition to its endeavor to acquire weapons of mass destruction and sophisticates the ballistic missile program which threatens international peace and security. In Arab affairs, the papers concluded that the royal speech affirmed the importance of supporting the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, supporting Iraq to achieve its stability, development and maintain its position among Arab countries, supporting a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, looking forward to launching a new era that achieves security, peace, sovereignty and stability for Libya and its people and the importance of supporting Sudan. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial today that day after great speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud before Shura Council, during inauguration of the works of the 1st year of its 8th session, which included the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's internal and external policies and determined its dealing with many issues, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, appreciated the contents of this speech, explaining the reform steps during the previous period, which included various aspects of life. The paper added that in this prosperous era, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved unprecedented achievements which contributed to doubling the size and diversity of the Saudi economy and increasing the non-oil domestic product. The paper concluded that despite Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged the whole slew of economies of many countries, Saudi Arabia remains among the ten best countries in dealing with the repercussions of this pandemic.
