Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. The newspapers said that the Shura Council in Saudi Arabia enjoys the full attention of the wise leadership, as it is one of the important regulatory and supervisory institutions in the Kingdom. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will inaugurate on Wednesday 11/11/2020 the works of the first year of the eighth session of the Shura Council. The whole nation will listen to the annual royal speech, to be delivered via video call. The speech will deal with the Kingdom's internal and external policy and its positions towards the most important regional and international issues, as it is a road map for the council and its members, the newspapers added. The newspaper further said that the winning of an international award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for its Women Empowerment Program in Technology for 2020 is a further sign of the wise leadership's support for the role of women in all fields. The empowerment of women in advancing the development march also comes within the plans of the National Transformation Program and the ambitions of Saudi vision. Saudi women also were able to win the EQUALS In tech Award in the IN TECH LEADERSHIP, which is awarded by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU ) with the aim of promoting gender equality in the digital world.
