The number of unemployed in Germany fell in October by 50,100 over the previous month to just over 4.2 million, the Federal Labour Agency said Wednesday. However the jobless number was 55,300 up on October last year, the agency said in Nuremberg. October's jobless figure represents a drop in the unemployment rate of 0.2 percentage points to 10.1 per cent.
