Unemployment in Germany fell by a slight 13,000 in unadjusted terms to 4.34 million in August, leaving the jobless rate unchanged at 10.5 per cent, Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa learned from reliable sources Thursday. The figure - if confirmed later on by the Federal Labour Agency in Nuremberg - would be some 30,000 higher than in August last year. The federal office had reported a 10.5 per cent rate for July, with 4.36 million persons out of work in seasonally unadjusted terms. That was 126,500 higher than in June, when the rate was 10.2 per cent. --SP 1958 Local Time 1658 GMT
