Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf welcomed the start of releasing prisoners of war and arrestees in Yemen amounting to 1081 between the Yemeni government and the Houthi militia, a positive step in implementing Stockholm Agreement 2018 stating that all PoWs, arrestees, the missed and forcibly in custody or on home arrest be released. In a press release, Al-Hajraf lauded the role played by the International Committee for the Red Cross which supervised the PoWs and arrestees release process as well as the role of the UN and Yemeni government in dealing to this issue with the utmost responsibility.
