Nine suspected rebels were killed in separate gun battles in Indonesia's restive Aceh province, a military spokesman said Saturday. Six rebels from the Free Aceh Movement were shot to death Friday in eastern and southern Aceh, while three others were killed in the north, military spokesman Lt. Col. Edyana Sulistiadie said in a statement. Troops recovered 10 assault rifles, two pistols, a grenade launcher and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, he said.
