Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has announced that it received the first ship carrying 60,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat at Jeddah Islamic Port, representing the first shipment of imported wheat produced by the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC). Governor of SAGO Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Fares stated that this shipment comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia's plans towards benefiting from Saudi agricultural investments abroad and linking these investments to the needs of the local market, within the framework of the agricultural investment program abroad, which represents one of the food security strategy programs in Saudi Arabia that aims to diversify sources of imported food supplies.
