Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has completed procedures for importing 745,000 tons of wheat , representing the fourth tender for 2020, from the European Union, the Black Sea, Australia , North and South America; except Canada. Governor of SAGO Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Fares stated today that this tender comes as an extension to the efforts of meeting the local demand and maintaining the strategic reserve of wheat. He added that the specified amount in the tender is distributed to 12 ships including 6 ships with the amount of 375,000 tons for Jeddah Islamic Port, 5 ships with the amount of 315,000 tons for King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and one ship with the amount of 55,000 tons for Jizan Port; which will arrive during the period of November 2020- January 2021.
