The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia's launching of missiles and drones at civilian and economic installation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Yemeni cities. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its concern about the Houthis' continued rejection of efforts by the UN Secretary General Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, and his proposal for a permanent ceasefire in Yemen to resume humanitarian and economic measures and start the political process to reach a political solution. The UAE appreciated the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to implement the Riyadh Agreement, and expressed its hope that its implementation would be accelerated to end the Yemeni crisis, especially the peace path sponsored by the UN and its envoy to Yemen.
