The finance and economy ministers and governors of central banks participating in the 65th session of Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee held here today a joint meeting with International Monetary Fund Managing Director De Rato. The meeting was attended by GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Alatiyyah. Following the meeting, the Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Alassaf pointed out that the GCC holds an annual meeting with the Fund to discuss world financial and economic matters. He noted that the GCC member states particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have great stakes in the Fund, adding that the Kingdom has also an independent seat at the Fund.
