The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has strongly condemned and denounced the attempted terrorist attack using a bomb-laden UAV on Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It stressed its condemnation of all terrorist attempts that target the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and that target civilians, civilian objects and vital facilities. Afghanistan counted these terrorist attempts as blatant acts that contradict all international conventions that guarantee the right to protect civilians and civilian objects. This came in a statement by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Riyadh, in which it renewed Afghanistan's stand and full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to protect its citizens and residents and defend its security and stability. The statement affirmed that Afghanistan and its people have suffered from terrorism and incurred losses in money and lives due to terrorist groups that follow an approach to terrorize and kill innocent people and target civilians and defenseless people.
