member General Assembly passed a resolution on July 20 telling Israel to abide by an opinion by the International Court of Justice saying the barrier be torn down because it was built on Palestinian lands. The resolution also asked for a register of all damages caused by the barrier.
Prendergast called on the Palestinian Authority to quell terror emanating from territory under its control. And he said Israel had to organize its planned pullout from Gaza and the northern West Bank in the context of the road map and in coordination with the Palestinians.
