The General Assembly of the World Health Organization has adopted a resolution, submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of Arab countries, denouncing Israel's policies leading to deterioration of health situation in the Palestinian territories. WHO's resolution, discussed on Wednesday evening, received a majority of 56 votes, six against, 48 abstention and 72 absencet. The resolution called on Israel to open the cross borders for the flow of health supplies to Gaza strip and West bank territories. It also called on Israel to abide by the International Justice Court decision issued in July 2004 on the barrier wall that blocks access of patients and medical personnel and ambulances to Palestinian health facilities.
