The European Central Bank posted the euro at 1.2474 dollars on Monday, up from 1.2414 dollars before the weekend.
The rate equates to 80.17 euro-cents per dollar, as against 80.55 euro-cents on Friday.
The euro was also higher at 69.185 (68.945) British pence and at 136.51 (135.66) yen, while being pegged lower at 1.5382 (1.5414) Swiss francs. --SP 1558 Local Time 1258 GMT
