President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, on the occasion of the issuance of the Royal Order restructuring the Human Rights Commission Council to serve its fourth four-year tenure. Dr. Al-Awwad expressed his deepest gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for the support and direction the Human Rights Commission receives. This support and direction have had a huge impact on HRC's ability to carry out its mission and discharge its responsibility in promoting and protecting human rights in accordance with the directions of the Saudi leadership. It has further helped in laying the foundations of human rights to the benefit of the citizens and residents of this beloved nation. Dr. Al-Awwad further noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' decision to appoint 13 women to the Human Rights Commission Council, a number of seats that represent half of the Council's members, furthers the Saudi Government's efforts to empower women by appointing them to leadership positions in various fields. These appointments will help in achieving what the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' aspires to in the service of this dear nation.
