COVID-19 Follow-up Committee Holds 94th Meeting

Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 94th meeting today, in the presence of the members of the Committee representing a number of the relevant governmental entities.
During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed. The committee discussed the epidemiological situation globally, as well as the cases reported locally. All precautionary measures carried out at the points of entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue in full and will be further enhanced, the committee stressed.
Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali who is also Spokesperson of the Health Ministry said in a press conference that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is 5512055 cases, of which 2247952 cases have been cured to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 346612.
Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that 1931 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the new cases were reported in Riyadh (789), Jeddah (327), Hufof (166), Dammam (143), Makkah (120), Buraidah (97), Jubail (37), Qattif (31), Khobar (26), Tabuk (17), Taif (13), Madinah (12), Baish (10), Dhahran (10), Al-Sehen (9), Al-Kharj (9), Manfath Al-Hodaithah (7), Al-Jafr (6), Unaizah (5), Arar (5), Tameer (5), Khamis Mushait (4), Hail (4), Khulais (4), Huraymla (4), Qulwa (4), Al-Nemas (3), Mahayel Asir (3), Safwa (3), Najran (3), Sharorah (3), Al-Hada (3), Al-Majma'a (3), Al-Sulayyil (3), Ramah (3), Sakaka (2), Abha (2), Billasmar (2), Sabt Al-Alayah (2), Wadi Al-Dawasir (2), Umluj (2), and one case in each of Baljurashi, Al-Makhwah, Arras, Al-Badaea, Al-Bukeriah, Al-Qurayat, Al-Qunfuthah, Dhalm, Misan, Um edoum, Ahad Rufaidah, Bqeeq, Ras Tanura, Al-Aydabi, Fayfa, Samtah, Ahad Al-Masarhah, Adhum, Al-Laith, Tarif, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Mazahmiah, Duhrma, Hottat bani Tamim, Thadiq, Al-Mahani, Dheba and Ghazalah.
He said that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is 76726 cases, of which 27865 cases are active cases receiving medical care, and their health condition is mostly stable; with the exception of 397 critical cases, adding that the number of the new recoveries is 2782, bringing the total number of recoveries to 48450.
He also pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 55% for non-Saudis and 45% for Saudi nationals, adding that the number of the new deaths is 12, bringing the total death toll to 411.
With regard to the tests at the laboratories, Dr. Al-Abdulaali disclosed that 16664 new tests are conducted, bringing the total number of the tests to 738743 until now.
