Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali who is also Spokesperson of the Health Ministry announced that 2399 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, bringing the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to 72560 cases, of which 28650 cases are active cases receiving medical care, and their health condition is mostly stable; with the exception of 372 critical cases, adding that the number of the new recoveries is 2284, bringing the total number of recoveries to 43520. Dr. Al-Abdulaali said in a press conference held today that the cases confirmed today represent 66% for non-Saudis and 34% for Saudi nationals, pointing out that the new cases were reported in Riyadh (742), Makkah (611), Jeddah (474), Dammam (136), Al-Khobar (120), Jubail (82), Madinah (69), Taif (25), Qatif (22), Khulais (19), Hofuf (18), Hail (12), Buraidah (12), Dhahran (7), Baish (6), Al-Kharj (6), Thuraiban (4), Sharorah (4), Mahayel Asir (3), Tabuk (3), Al-Bukeriah (2), Al-Sehen (2), Ras Tanurah (2), Sabya (2), Rabigh (2), Remah (2), and one case in each of Al-Aqeeq, Al-Bahah, Al-Hanakiah, Yanbu, Arras, Al-Gouz, Al-Qurie, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Mogag, Al-Majma'a and Haql. He added that the number of the new deaths is 11, bringing the total death toll to 390. Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is 5334675 cases, of which 2124420 cases have been cured to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 341513. With regard to the tests at the laboratories, Dr. Al-Abdulaali disclosed that 18919 new tests are conducted, bringing the total number of the tests to 703534 until now.
