The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs UNOOSA, based in Vienna, has posted the logo of the Saudi Space Commission SSC on the official website of the Office. This action comes as a declaration that SSC is the official representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before this United Nations organization that is concerned with promoting international cooperation in the fields of outer space and exploring it to serve the development of mankind. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Chief Executive Officer of SSC stated that the state's establishment of the SSC emphasizes the importance of the space sector and the direction of the Kingdom to benefit from it by uniting local efforts in this field and enhancing international cooperation in it, including the economic, scientific and strategic benefits for the Kingdom. Dr. Al-Sheikh indicated that the Commission had completed the preparation of the national space strategy and the Space Regulation draft as well as a study to establish the Saudi Space Company and they were submitted to the state for review and approval. On this occasion, Al-Sheikh congratulated Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the Saudi Space Commission.
