Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that the 3rd anniversary of pledge of allegiance to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, comes to confirm an important stage of the Saudi history, which includes an unprecedented achievements and developments at all levels. The papers added that on this day, all Saudi people pledged allegiance to HRH Crown Prince, as it was the first step for moving forward in building a modern and strong state capable of confronting challenges, as the world is witnessing conflicts and changes. The papers also said that the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which was announced by HRH Crown Prince, includes a whole slew of set plans and programs that gave Saudi Arabia a qualitative leap in all fields. Such great progress in all fields has effectively contributed to enhancing the Saudi economy without depending on oil revenues and also contributed to combating COVID-19, which claimed lives of thousands of people in the world and caused declining in global economy, the papers concluded. Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has firmly confronted the implications of the Coronavirus pandemic through securing entire sectors to serve and medicate citizens, in addition to allocating budgets to treat infected people in light of declining oil prices and growth indices. The paper added that despite the severe impacts of the COVID 19 on the Saudi economy, Saudi Arabia is still putting the protection of citizens at the top of its priorities through equipping hospitals, providing them with supplies and maintaining people's standards of living.
