Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting the implications of the global coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic continue unabated under the leadership of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. It also said that such unprecedented efforts included providing free and various medical services for all Saudi citizens including the returnees from abroad, and legal and illegal residents across the Kingdom without exception. The paper confirmed that the continuation of educational, commercial and industrial process and the abundance of food resources and stocks are also among these great efforts. As for Al-Bilad newspaper, it reported in its editorial that impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on people and global economy are seen as the most dangerous crisis in history. It further said that in the light of these challenges, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is addressing this crisis through a whole slew of decisions and precautionary measures. The paper concluded that at the international level, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues leading the global efforts through its G20 Presidency, providing a high capacity to manage the global pandemic crisis and its impacts through a number of virtual meetings and consultations.
