A symposium on the relation between Islam, the society and modernity, co-organized by Brussels Liberal University and the Belgian Royal Institute for International Relations, began here today. A number of thinkers, scientists, university professors, and specialists in social affairs and dialogue among cultures and civilizations of the world, are taking part in the event which enjoys special patronage from the embassies of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Egypt and Turkey, the Arab League mission to the European Union, and the Arab Belgian Chamber of Commerce.
