The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud delivered a speech to the citizens and Muslims around the world on the occasion of the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1441H. The speech was delivered by Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Acting Minister of Media. In the speech, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques congratulated all citizens and Muslims on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan, expressing thanks to The Almighty for giving living Muslims once more a precious chance to attend the holy month of mercy and forgiveness, appealing to Allah to help all Ramadan worshippers perform an easy fasting and gain an accepted worshipping. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques added that "we are living in this critical and sensitive stage being witnessed by the world history in light of the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, despite the measures taken by the humanitarian organizations and countries of the world to prevent its spread. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed that the Kingdom is honored to serve the Two Holy Mosques and receive pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors, asserting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken a package of precautionary measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate the economic impacts of this pandemic domestically and internationally. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Addresses Citizens and Muslims on Advent of Holy Month of Ramadan 2 Riyadh The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud thanked the security personnel at the Kingdom's borders as well as the health practitioners, personnel of the security and military sectors, all individuals of the state's sectors and volunteers for their great efforts in curbing this pandemic. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirmed the importance of adhering to the instructions and guidelines in this critical stage to confront this pandemic. "To tell you the truth, it pains me to welcome the glorious month of Ramadan under circumstances that forbid us of prayers in Mosques and of performing the Ramadan prayers of Tarawieh and Qiyam in House of Allah. All this is due to the protective measures taken to save lives and human wellbeing in light of the global threat of COVID-19," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques concluded.
