Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that within their preventive and precautionary measures, all agencies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are intensifying their efforts to prevent the outbreak of novel coronavirus and ensure the best ways for the safety of society from the dangers of this pandemic seen as the biggest challenge before the world at this time. The paper added that within these preventive and precautionary measures were instructions issued by the Council of Senior Scholars to suspend the performance of Friday prayers and other group prayers in mosques throughout the day, only calling for prayers (Azan), with the exception of the Two Holy Mosques.
