The Minister of Environment and Water Resources, who is also in charge of Muslim Affairs, in the Republic of Singapore, Masagos Zulkifli expressed Singapore's support for the Kingdom's decision to suspend issuance of Umrah and Tourist Visas, to limit the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, indicating that this decision shows the Kingdom's interest, in the safety of pilgrims and international communities, in accordance with the Islamic teachings. He clarified that he asked the tourist companies serving Muslims to observe Umrah (AMTAS) to fully communicate with the pilgrims affected by this decision, to clarify the necessity of these precautionary measures, hoping that everyone will recover from the virus and looking forward to cooperate with the Kingdom in the protection, safety and sanity of pilgrims and Umrah doers, following lifting of such restrictions.
