The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority of Statistics, will host tomorrow the High-Level Seminar on the Future of Economic Statistics for the Arab Region, co-organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD). The Seminar brings together members of ESCWA, a number of specialists at the United Nations and GCC Statistical Center, academics, and representatives of government agencies. The seminar will discuss a number of topics, including a responsive and relevant system of economic statistics; the Future of Economic Statistics in Saudi Arabia; regional policy priorities and the institutional reform to meet the new statistical needs; institutional transformation, new methods, services and roles; and rebuilding Economic Statistics in post-conflict countries.
