Presided over by its Deputy Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Maatani, the Shura Council held here today its 18th ordinary session. During the session, the Council approved a draft agreement to establish the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council. The Council also approved a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of combating illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their chemical precursors between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of India which was signed in Riyadh on 29/10/2019. The Council also approved a draft security cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of India, which was signed in Riyadh on 29/10/2019. The Council also approved a draft cooperation agreement in the field of maritime transport between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the People's Republic of China, which was signed in Beijing on 22/02/2019.
