The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) called on people today to participate in voting for projects of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia competing for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) prizes 2020, to be organized by International Telecommunication Union (ITU). CITC said that voting for national projects in WSIS will play a major role in developing and sustaining communications and information technology sector to move forward with the Saudi Digital Transformation, adding that CITC competes in 16 different categories of WSIS Prizes 2020. Voters can explore and vote for projects through ITU website, as the deadline for voting is 24 January 2020. It is worth noting that since launching the WSIS Project Prizes in 2012, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won 9 prizes and 14 certificates of excellence.
