Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the founding and signing of the Charter of Council of Arab and African Coastal States of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden is an advanced strategic move to strengthen relations between member states and raise the level of coordination and constructive cooperation to face the challenges and risks in this vital waterway, which is of great importance to the global economy and trade. The paper said that the council, that is being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to consolidate joint action, collective coordination and exchange of interests, leading to integration between the countries concerned and achieving development and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
