Iraq's interim president arrives in Poland Monday for talks on further developing economic ties, debt relief and Poland's contribution to the multinational stabilization force. Ghazi al-Yawer is on a European tour that started last week in Germany, where he heard promises of "substantial" debt relief, crucial for the troubled nation's development. During his two days in Poland, al-Yawer plans talks with President Aleksander Kwasniewski, Prime Minister Marek Belka and Speaker of Parliament Jozef Oleksy and will also address parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission. Al-Yawer, whose government took over from the U.S.-run Coalition Provisional Authority on June 30, will be accompanied by his ministers of economy, trade and transport.
