Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the annual royal speech will be delivered today by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in the Shura Council and will determine the domestic and foreign policies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the plans and goals towards comprehensive development. The paper added that the annual royal speech will include issues on providing citizen with the best services, strengthening the homeland security, fighting against corruption and increasing the participation of citizens in national development. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned the airstrikes launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in killing and injuring dozens of civilians, violating of international law, humanitarian principles and international conventions, adding that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renewed its call on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards providing international protection for the Palestinian people. The paper concluded that the Kingdom has welcomed the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for three years, confirming its firm position towards supporting rights of the Palestinian people at all levels.
