The Secretary General of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Air Vice Marshal Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughaidi has received Chairman of the French-Gulf Friendship Committee at the French Senate, Jean-Marie Bockel and his accompanying delegation at the Coalition's headquarters in Riyadh. The two sides reviewed ways of cooperation and common visions and enhancing relations between the two sides in the context of knowledge exchange in the service of combating terrorism and violent extremism. They also discussed security issues of mutual interest related to efforts being exerted towards regional and international developments in the fight against terrorism. The delegation was briefed on efforts of IMCTC in combating terrorism and extremist thought coordinating initiatives in the intellectual and media fields, fighting financing of terrorism. IMCTC Secretary General stressed the importance of consolidating efforts, continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two sides that would support efforts being exerted in combating violent extremism and terrorism. French-Gulf Friendship Committee Chairman praised efforts of the Coalition to combat terrorism and its roles being played to coordinate and intensify efforts of the Coalition's member states.
