The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) won in the elections of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), during its General Assembly meeting No. (40); for the council permanent membership, along with the other 36 permanent member states. The Minister of Transport and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Dr. Nabil bin Mohamed Al-Amoudi said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's win reflects appreciation of the member states of the ICAO for the Kingdom's positive role and efforts, in dealing with the data of the air transport industry. KSA has been winning successively since 1986 until now, in the elections held, every three years. He pointed out that this successive win clearly reflects the prestigious international status enjoyed by the Kingdom in international forums related to civil aviation, especially the (ICAO), indicating that the Kingdom was never late to participate in providing support to programs and plans of ICAO. The Kingdom has participated in the meetings of the 40th session of (ICAO) with a delegation headed by the Minister of Transport.
