Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum, Al-Riyadh and Al-Bilad newspapers said in their editorials entitled ( Palestinian Cause and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Message) that the telephone call made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz yesterday with the President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine reiterated the Kingdom's unequivocal condemnation towards the announcement made by the Prime Minister of Israel of annexation of lands in the West Bank occupied in 1967 to the Israeli entity. The paper added that this call reaffirmed the Kingdom's permanent standing and supporting of Palestinian cause and defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. On Iran, Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that over the four decades of the extremist revolutionary regime in Tehran, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, proceeding from the importance of its role in the Arab region and the international arena, has stood up against the malicious Iranian projects aimed at expanding its regional influence through sowing discord and unrest, disseminating sectarianism and supporting armed militias loyal to them. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to maintain the security and stability of the region and the integrity of the borders of its sovereign states and commitment to international laws and regulations, while Iran seeks to destabilize the security of the countries of the region through the exporting of its revolution and financing of sectarian militias and terrorist and extremism groups.
