Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the contents of the joint statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates have reflected the keenness of the two countries to achieve utmost cooperation to preserve the Yemeni state, its interests and legitimacy. In this regard, the paper noted that the Saudi Cabinet affirmed in its session on Tuesday the importance of moving forward to achieve those interests which concern the two Saudi and UEA leaderships. The paper added that, through their close cooperation, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi endeavored to weigh everything that would bring peace, stability and security in Yemen and deter terrorist acts taking place in its territory. On the same issue, Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's call for the Yemeni parties to hold a meeting in Jeddah has reflected a broad strategy based on the interests of the Yemeni people, maintaining their security, stability, territory and restoring their state. The paper added that this call to the Yemeni government and all warring parties in Aden, to discuss their disputes has also reflected KSA's keenness on following the principles of wisdom and dialogue, renouncing division, stopping strife and uniting to confront the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia and other terrorist organizations to restore the state and return Yemen to a stable and secure country.
