Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled ''The Quantum leap'' wrote that the change in Saudi-Russian relations over the past few years reflects a common desire to open wider horizons of cooperation and constructive dialogue between the two countries, especially as Riyadh and Moscow meet on many international and regional political issues and share the leadership of energy markets worldwide. The paper said that the timing of the upcoming visit of President Vladimir Putin to the Kingdom reflects Russia's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the most important pivotal state in the region, especially as the Middle East is currently undergoing dangerous turns that could significantly determine its future. There is no doubt that the Kingdom represents the safety valve and the pillar of stability in the region, and Russia is the superpower and one of the main forces in international decision-making, the paper noted and added that relations between the two countries are moving in the right direction and they have taken an accelerated path that reflects the desire of Saudi and Russian leaderships to employ these special relations to serve international security and stability and develop fields of bilateral cooperation for the interest of both countries. Al-Youm newspaper commented on the stand of the UN against the situation in Yemen where it said that international roles have a responsibility towards the whole world to show and highlight the efforts of the coalition countries under the leadership of the Kingdom to make sure that Yemen's legitimacy is restored and that the rights of Yemenis are victorious in their relentless attempts to extract their freedom from the clutches of Houthi terrorist militias. Al-Youm newspaper pointed out that magnifying peaceful efforts as a way to end the crisis by raising Houthi voices and uncovering their open twisted means of jumping on the Yemeni legitimacy by the United Nations are at the expense of the good efforts of the Saudi-led coalition forces to settle the crisis in a war or peace, a settlement that is marginalized by the United Nations and its bodies. Okaz newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Al-Houthi and violating the sanctity of Hajj'' said that Al-Houthi militias have followed the Qatari terrorist regime, which prevented Qataris from performing Hajj rituals, when they used all means to impede the arrival of Yemeni pilgrims to perform their rituals, not only that but also by firing five ballistic missiles at the Kingdom during the Hajj season. The newspaper indicated that Qatari, Iranian and Houthi common tampering with the region comes as an attempt to destabilize the security of pilgrims and spread lies about Hajj, which reaffirms that these terrorist regimes have no religious or even moral principles or values.
