Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Dr. Nabeel Al-Amoudi, oversaw yesterday the departure of first pilgrims' flight through the "EYAB" initiative launched by GACA. The initiative will benefit more than 30,000 pilgrims during this current Hajj season (1440). The launching ceremony was in the presence of president of GACA, Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri. During the Minister's inspection tour of the exhibition dedicated to the pilgrims benefiting from the "Eyab" initiative, he was briefed on the services being provided by the initiative that is considered one of the tributaries of the continuous development and improvement of the Hajj services. Through the initiative, GACA aims to improve and enrich pilgrims traveling experience throughout the Kingdom's airports, and furthermore, to facilitate their travel procedures by reducing the waiting period in each of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. It is worth noting that GACA has started implementing the pilot phase of the initiative during this current Hajj season (1440H). The initiative targeted pilgrims departing to each of (Indonesia, India and Malaysia) and will benefit more than 30,000 pilgrims in both of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International in Madinah. The "Eyab" (Return) initiative is an electronic platform through which GACA provides unique e-services to the pilgrims of the Holy Sites.
